The migration
Moving a live marketplace off a hosted platform means rebuilding every core flow (listings, booking, messaging, payments) while keeping the experience seamless for couples and coordinators mid-booking. I architected the new platform around Cheersy's own product model, which gave the team full ownership of performance and roadmap.
Payments across roles
Weddings involve money moving between several parties. I implemented Stripe Connect with Custom accounts so the platform could take client payments, hold platform fees, and pay coordinators out on Cheersy's own terms, with the logic encoded per role.
Infrastructure
I owned deployment, scaling and monitoring on AWS: static assets on S3 behind CloudFront, PostgreSQL on RDS, and the application on Elastic Beanstalk.
